Maurer Oszkar is a winery with a long tradition in Serbia's northernmost city, close to the Hungarian border. The winery owns vineyards at the foot of Mount Frushka Gora, also known as the Jewel of Serbia, and has been sulfite-free in all of its wines since the 2020 vintage. Fodor spends 6 days on skins and 12 months in large old Hungarian barrels. Notes of spiced peaches, mirin, plums, bruised apples, and a pinch of salt. The richness of the wine is felt on the palate as a tangy tannic texture. The perfect Thanksgiving wine!
